Stainless steel in Water Applications
Nov 24, 2021 @ 8:30 AM - Nov 24, 2021 @ 12:30 PM
Description
This CPD accredited workshop will be of value to material specifiers, engineers and technical staff involved in water infrastructure and water treatment at all levels. The workshop will discuss the metallurgical properties that makes stainless steel the preferred material choice for the applications, the various corrosion mechanisms involved and how stainless steel can impact on the total life cycle costs of projects. The content will also cover related structural and piping solutions, as well as some practical advice on working with stainless steel in the water industry. The workshop will show that stainless steel is an integrated part of the solution to South Africa’s water supply solutions in the future.
